Beta-hemolytic and nonhemolytic colonies of bacteria
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (large colonies with undulate margin and beta-hemolysis), Staphylococcus aureus (yellow colonies with beta-hemolysis) and Staphylococcus epidermidis (small, white colonies without hemolysis) on sheep blood agar.
Cultivation 48 hours in an aerobic atmosphere, 37°C.
